Introduction To Functions - 3ºeso



FUNCTIONS     

1. Fill in the gaps.

When working with equations that have two (1)__________, the coordinate plane is an important tool. It's a way to draw pictures of equations that makes them easier to understand.

To create a coordinate plane, start with a sheet of graph paper. Next, draw a (2)__________ line. This line is called the x-axis and is used to locate values of x. To show that the axis actually goes on forever in both directions, use small arrowheads at each end of the line. Mark off a number line with (3)__________ in the center, positive numbers to the (4)__________, and negative numbers to the (5)__________.

Next draw a (6)__________ line that intersects the x axis at zero. This line is called the y-axis and is used to locate the values of y. Mark off a number line with zero in the center, (7)__________ numbers going upwards, and (8)__________ numbers going downwards. The point where the x and y axes intersect is called the origin. The origin is located at (9)__________ on the x axis and zero on the y axis.

Locating Points Using Ordered Pairs
We can locate any point on the coordinate plane using an ordered pair of numbers. We call the ordered pair the coordinates of the point. The coordinates of a point are called an ordered pair because the order of the two (10)__________ is important.

The first number in the ordered pair is the (11)__________ coordinate. It describes the number of units to the left or right of the origin. The second number in the ordered pair is the (12)__________ coordinate. It describes the number of units above or below the origin. PROYECTO 1: CUMPLEAÑOS – 1º ESO

Queremos celebrar un cumpleaños con todos los alumnos de la clase (19 alumnos) y tenemos las siguientes alternativas:

A. MacDonald. Opciones

- 1 happymeal por persona.

- Un menú con una hamburgesa, papas fritas y refresco

- Ensalada, mcnuget y agua.

B. Pizzeria - ½ pizza por persona y un refresco

C. Perritos - Un perrito caliente con un refresco

D. Chuletada– Comprar 2 chuleta por persona, 2 papas arrugadas ( 1 Kg 12 papas) y 1 botellas grandes de refrescos por cada 4 personas en el superpermercado.



Actividades

1. Investigar los precios de cada producto, el coste por persona del menú y el coste total del cumpleaños en cada opción.

2. Realizar una tabla con las opciones indicando coste total, coste por persona, transporte, cosas a favor y cosas en contra. Realizada la tabla elegir la opción elegida y explicar el porqué

3. Investigar la composición de cada alimento de menú seleccionado, en referencia a proteínas, grasas, hidratos de carbono y calorías. Describir también que son proteínas, grasas, hidratos y calorías. Calcular en fracciones cada menú que parte tiene de componente de proteínas, grasas e hidratos de carbono.

4. Diseñar una invitación para el cumpleaños.

5. Hacer una redacción de cómo sería la fiesta de cumpleaños, explicando el orden en el que todo ocurriría.

Llegó el último reto, un VT que resume toda mi trayectoria de actividades publicadas en el diario.
